Commencing with wins against East Burwood and East Ringwood, the boys played in terrible conditions in the 3rd game against Knox, who would be the biggest challenge to landing a premiership. After scores wore level at half time, the team got on top, and won their way through undefeated for a chance to win the premiership. The team faced Blackburn in the decider, and although Blackburn were competitive, Lysterfield U9 Grey survived the competition and the conditions. A very excited team (and parents) won a well deserved Premiership for the club. Congratulations boys!

Aug.14, 2016 - Lysterfield today delivered two premierships to stamp the 2016 season as the most successful in our 7 year history. The U13 Grey team secured their second premiership in three years (with their U11 flag of 2014); while the U12 Teal team made it back-to-back flags having won the U11 A Grade flag in 2015. Both teams won with dominant football in the first quarter of today's Grand Finals. The U13 Grey team beat top of the table Bayswater/Norwood in the 2nd Semi-Final, and repeated the effort today to run out big winners 8-10-58 to 3-3-21. The U12 Teal team dominated the season dropping only one game and finished on top, before easily defeating East Ringwood in the 2nd Semi-Final. In a hard fought Grand Final, U12 Teal defeated East Ringwood for the 2nd time in 3 weeks, winning 5-5-35 to 3-1-19 to secure the club's 2nd A Grade Premiership (backing on to last year's 1st A Grade Flag). A truly great day for the Lysterfield Wolves
